Labor Day Weekend

Typically, our family spends Labor Day weekend over in Iowa at the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion. This year was going to be our 20th year singing there and it was going to work to have the entire family there! The event ended up being canceled, so the entire family made plans to come to our house instead! Everyone arrived Wednesday evening and the first ones didn't have to leave until Sunday morning. So we ended up having a lot of time together!

It was the most wonderful weekend!!
And since I have an overload of pictures, I'll just let them do most of the talking.

The grandkids are old enough that it was a blast watching them all interact.
Four-wheeler rides with the aunties was a popular activity!

Of course, there was a lot of attention on the newest addition!

The guys worked out together and the girls visited a local coffee shop. But we did it at different times so that we could take turns keeping an eye on the littles. Although, they did end up getting into a few adventures when we weren't looking!

We ended up going on a few hayrack rides in the evenings which was pretty perfect. Brisk air, hay bales, gravel roads, instruments and singing, sun setting behind us... I think you get the picture!

You can be sure that we went through a lot of food over the weekend. Thankfully the weather was gorgeous and we ended up eating quite a few meals outside!

Snuggling the littles and having a party in the kitchen making pie crust for supper. It took longer than normal, and there was pie crust all over the floor by the time they finished, but the smiles and memories that were made were totally worth it!

Can you tell that the nieces and nephews were a highlight?!

One morning we took most of the kiddos to a friends house to ride his horse.
They LOVED it!!

Evening walks and getting to ride on Grandpa's tractor.

We played a ton of volleyball and one evening had a big family kickball game!

I have more pictures... but I guess I'd better stop here.

So thankful that everyone was able to make it home and for the blessing of family.
