Corn

It's that time of year again!! We are beyond blessed by our dear friend who grows the best sweet corn for us to freeze every year. There were a few years that we ended up working late into the night to get it all done, but recently we've done it in smaller chunks which has been really nice. There aren't as many of us at home and so we don't end up freezing quite as much as we used to.

Because it is a longer process it makes for a lot of time to talk while we work and usually at some point we will put on music or a movie to make it go a little bit faster. I didn't get many pictures this year because our hands were pretty sticky most of the time. But we are blessed to have our freezers stocked for another year!

"He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper."
Psalms 1:3

Ooh, that looks so yummy!! What a blessing! Things like that are a lot of work, but always so rewarding to have put away in the freezer!

Any new romances brewing in the Wissmann family? There hasn't been a Wissmann wedding since Matthias tied the knot and that was almost 3 years ago!
