Recently there have been some pretty special milestones for some members in our family. The first is that another person is joining the pilot squad!!!

Susanna has spent this spring studying and flying with our brother Josiah (who is an instructor) and just last week she took her first solo flight!!!

Our crew of pilots.

Congrats Susanna!!

I would fly away and be at rest.""

Congratulations! I'm intrigued to know what the attraction of so many pilots in one family is, though?! What do you use the plane for?

Hi Hannah! Our oldest brother is both an ag pilot and an instructor so he uses his license as a career. The business that Dad and some of my brothers run does quite a bit of work out of town so it is very helpful to be able to fly to the different job sites. We also have a bunch of family that lives out of town so it has been a huge blessing to be able to cut down on the travel time.

Also, since our family is large we have people going in different directions on any given week so having multiple pilots has been very handy! And some people just always wanted to be able to fly! :)

Sorry this is a long explanation... I guess there are just a lot of little reasons that make it both practical and enjoyable for us right now. :) Thank you for asking!!
