Rhodes Mountain Family Music Festival

This last Friday we headed out on a three week trip. We were planning on hitting the road first thing that morning, but most everyone ended up working on an irrigation job several hours away the previous day and the last one got home at 11:30 Thursday night. So Friday morning we all got up and packed as fast as we could and ended up pulling out of the driveway around 1:00pm.

The first stop on this trip was at the Rhodes Mountain Family Music Festival in Missouri. Some friends of ours, the Punches family started it a few years ago, and it was a joy to be there again this year!!! They always have it on the last full weekend of September. If that is something you would enjoy, mark your calendars for 2020!!

Not only is there a lot of music, but there are games, activities, food, campfires, instrument workshops and a whole lot of fun and fellowship.

After singing twice on Saturday at the festival we headed over to northern Missouri and sang twice on Sunday. The pastor at Sunday morning's church was one that we had met in Hulett, Wyoming back in 2003. What God did during our time out there was absolutely incredible and it was one of those experiences that that we will never forget!! Then Sunday evening we sang at our Aunt's church. So both of those were special services!

Last night we sang in Arthur, IL and today we are enjoying a travel day! We appreciate prayers for the next couple of weeks as we will be traveling in the Northeastern states and a little bit into Canada sharing what God has done in our own lives. We'd love to have you join us if we stop in your area!! You can click this link to check out our schedule on our website.

Many years ago, when we started traveling and sharing music the following verses became our theme. And they still ring true today!!

"I waited patiently for the Lord, and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth -- Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord." Psalms 40:1-3
