Go Reach The World

It all starts with just one voice
That takes a stand, that makes a choice

To live for God and not hesitate
To tell the world about amazing grace

One day that seed somehow breaks through
Where there was one, there now stands two
And soon another takes his hand
A ray of hope that spreads across the land.

Across the mountains. Across the sea.
Soon other's join in harmony.

They've found the cross still standing strong.
And soon a mighty chorus sings along.

Go reach the world, touch one more soul
Bring one more lamb back to the fold.

Each soul another flag unfurled.
Each voice another chance to reach the world.

Don't let me pray, Lord, for wealth or fame.
A spark that sets the world aflame.

But help me reach the lost and alone
Tel tell of joy and hope where hope was gone.

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
Mark 16:15

Dan & Bethany's

I know this happened awhile ago, but it has been really busy since we got home and so I am just getting around to posting all these pictures now. We only had one day to spend with Dan & Bethany before needing to head home and get back to work, so we wanted to make the most of it!!

Dad, Mom, Charissa and Arianna ended up going to Washington D.C. to see as many sights as they could. Since they didn't arrive back to the house until late, I think they were able to get a lot in and enjoyed it!

Meanwhile, the rest of us decided to go on a hike, make brownies, play a family game of football with everyone in the backyard and just enjoy being together at their house. It was a blast!!

It was the absolute perfect, fall day for a hike!

And everyone kept an eye on the little ones at the top to make sure they didn't get too close to the edge.

So many beautiful sights!!

An occasional photobomber.

So many happy smiles!

Enjoying a snack at the top.

On the way down someone found a small, but feisty snake. We watched him for a little bit and then continued the hike.

behold, all things have become new."

Hershey's

A few days before our last concert which was at Dan & Bethany's church in West Virginia we had one right across the border in Pennsylvania. And since it wasn't too far from them, they popped over and surprised us for the evening!

Not only that, but they let us keep Arianna and Caden in the bus with us until Sunday. It was a lot of fun to have them travel with us!! Saturday morning we had a few free hours and so Dad decided to make a quick stop at the Hershey's Chocolate Factory.

A fun tour, a delicious sample, and chocolate everywhere you look.
You can't go wrong with that!

The kids were troopers in the bus and we had so much fun with them!! They even sang their own  song on stage!! Maybe we should start taking grandkids on the road with us more often. :)

Sunday night we made it back to Dan & Bethany's and enjoyed pulling out an old song to sing together.

Then we went to their house to enjoy a day adventuring before going home!
More pictures to follow...

Niagara Falls

We enjoyed spending some time in Canada this last weekend. The folks we've been able to meet up there have been such a blessing and encouragement to us and we are so grateful for the opportunity to make it up there every couple of years.

On our way back to the states Elizabeth figured out that Niagara Falls was only 20 minutes out of our way!! We'd been there years ago, but it'd been long enough that Charissa didn't remember it all. So we took a little time to stop and enjoy the sights!

We felt like a bunch of tourists!

Walking right up where the water goes over is the most amazing thing. Something so powerful and beautiful makes us feel so small. God's creation is truly magnificent!!

Apparently Niagara Falls is eroding about 3 feet per year. Dad said that it has eroded about 40 feet since the first year he came and saw it. I'll let you do the math to figure out what year that was.

Typically, we don't stop and sightsee very often when we are on the road, but when we do, we are so grateful for the beauty that is all around us and for the opportunity to experience it together as a family. It is not something that we take for granted!!

After that we had a little bit of time left so we stopped in some of the local shops...

and enjoyed some pineapple, mango ice cream as a special treat. It was sooo good!!

that brings forth its fruit in its season,
whose leaf also shall not wither;
and whatever he does shall prosper."

A Peaceful Morning

We've been to several beaches when we travel down south, but we've never really stopped at any northern beaches. So it was a treat to be able to stop and visit Indiana Dunes Beach on Lake Michigan for a few hours last week. Here are a few pictures from our time there that I thought you might enjoy. The beauty of God's creation never ceases to amaze me!!

O Lord my God,
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all
The works Thy Hand hath made,

I see the stars,
I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy pow'r throughout
The universe displayed,

Then sings my soul,
My Savior God, to Thee,

How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!

Then sings my soul,
My Savior God, to Thee,
How great Thou art!
How great Thou art!
