I know this is long overdue, but here is a quick update on what Dan & Bethany are up to these days!
Life is busy with four littles, and we don't get to see them very often since they live out in West Virginia. But we are so grateful for modern technology that still lets us be a part of their everyday lives and see pictures and videos from their latest adventure!

Dan still works as an attorney for the Home School Legal Defense Association. This last spring he traveled quite a bit during the weekends to different homeschool conferences. Both Dan and Bethany are very intentional when it comes to relationships! Whether it's with their kids, family, church or community, It is fun to see them investing right where they are at.

Arianna (7), Caden (5), Everett (2) and Gemma (11 months) keep growing and learning! Bethany will send us their latest quips and it keeps us wishing that West Virginia and Nebraska were not quite so far apart.

A couple of weeks ago they started their school year. Ari has become quite the reader and all of the other kids love sitting down with a book!

It is fun to watch Arianna's joy at finally having a little sister and Caden & Everett seem to thoroughly enjoy being able to play sports or cars together.

Dan & Bethany do a great job at finding and exploring local spots of interest! Sometimes it includes a picnic, searching for caterpillars, visiting historical towns or simply going out for an ice cream cone.

We love y'all and miss you tons!!

"But grow in then grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever."

The Heartbeat Of The Mission

There's a call going out
Across the land in every nation

A call to those who swear allegiance to the cross of Christ

A call to true humility, to live our live responsibly
To deepen our devotion to the cross at any price

To love the Lord our God
Is the heartbeat of our mission

The spring from which our service overflows

Across the street
Or around the world

The mission's still the same

Proclaim and live the Truth
In Jesus' name

As a candle is consumed by the passion of the flame
Spilling light unsparingly throughout a darkened room

Let us burn to know Him deeper
Then our service flaming bright

Will radiate his passions
And blaze with holy light

"All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord,
And all the families of the nations shall worship before you."
Psalms 22:27

Old Threshers

I know Old Threshers happened over a week ago, but this last week we were really busy with a family camp (pictures and information about that coming later!) and I wan't able to get the rest of the pictures up. So as we prepare for the second camp to start I am trying to get as much done as I can.

Since we sang so many times at Old Threshers this year that we didn't have as much time to just walk around and enjoy the grounds as previous years. But we thoroughly enjoyed the things we were able to do and loved seeing the expressions on the nieces and nephews faces as they took in all of the action.

Getting to ride the old steam train is always a highlight for us! Our bus is packed pretty close to the tracks so we always enjoy hearing it go by.

Walking the grounds, seeing so horses, taking time to stop for a little ice cream, waving at the trolley, getting homemade root beer, watching the old steam engines run, and driving tractors are all activities that we got to enjoy this year. They always have something going on and we love it!!

Since Andrew & Kori were there for the entire weekend we ended up getting the most pictures of Wyatt enjoying Old Threshers. But it was really fun to enjoy all five of the grandkids that made it up at some point during the weekend!!

Enjoying the old car section.

Checking out the barnyard animals.

I don't know what was the bigger hit, the big pickles or the ice cream cones!

Lots of big smiles!!

The Cousins having fun together.

So grateful for another wonderful year at Old Threshers!!

And shall declare Your mighty acts."

Random Smiles

I'm going to give you a little bit of a picture overload right now.
We just finished our 19th year singing at the Old Threshers Reunion and had such wonderful time!! Alan & Rachel, Andrew & Kori and Matthias & Michelle were all able to come up this year which was so special! It ended up being a packed full week, but we loved it and I hope you enjoy a this glimpse of what it is like when we get together. I'll be sharing more pictures from our daily activities at Old Threshers soon!

"You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
