4th of July

Faith, Family, Fireworks, Freedom... and cupcakes!
It seems that the weeks surrounding the Fourth end up being packed full and fly by faster than we can keep track of them, but it is always a special time!

If you've followed our blog for awhile you will know that the Fourth of July is a big deal in our hometown of Seward, Nebraska! All morning long there are special events and competitions that take place and people travel from all over to enjoy the festivities. With several pilots in our family, the airshow tends to be a highlight each year. (who doesn't enjoy seeing plane land on a suburban?!)

One of the best parts of the Fourth of July is having family come into town. This year Andrew, Kori & Wyatt were in town for 10 whole days!!! As well as Ryan & Ruth, Josiah & Abi and Matthias & Michelle. We absolutely loved it!!

We figured out that it was 22 years ago that they asked us to sing for the first time during the celebration. It was something we'd never really done before! God used that concert to open up the doors for us to travel all over the U.S. and 45 states later all we can do is look back and say "what a mighty God we serve!"

Happy Independence Day!!

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."
