All of my life, in every season, I have reason to worship.

It is not something we can muster up,

It is based on who God is!

And if we are filled with Christ then our every day living should be acts of worship.

"Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;
Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."

St. Patricks Meal

One of our favorite things about traveling is getting to experience different foods and cultures! This has broadened our tastes in trying out new foods and added a lot of favorite new recipes to our family menus. I think that is why we started doing "round the world" evenings! We will pick a country, look up several of their traditional recipes and plan an entire meal as authentic as we can. St. Patricks Day is the perfect time to pull out as much Irish as we can. Some years we just make a traditional dish or two, but this year we decided to go all out!

First up - food prep!
We try to pick out recipes that at least look appetizing and so far have not been disappointed.

Then comes the set up, decorations and some Ireland quiz games. It ends up being not only a fun experience for everyone, but an educational one as well!!

This year some of the dishes we made were Dublin Coddle, Irish Soda Bread, Corn beef, a cabbage dish and some other dishes... And of course, a special Irish apple cake for dessert.

Usually we invite a friend or two or some family to join us. It ends up being a thoroughly enjoyed evening!! And I think everyone is getting the facts about Ireland down... most people got a good score on the quiz this year!! What country should we do next?!

"All the ends of the world
shall remember and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
shall worship before You."
Psalms 22:27

The last two weeks we've sorta been home, but it has been more of a "stop in and go" base for us. Most of us loaded up early one morning to go to Texas to install a large irrigation system for a couple of days.

After finishing that job and enjoying another weekend at home a vehicle headed down to Kansas to see visit Alan & Rachel and check up on the little grandkids that are growing up too fast!

Meanwhile, those at home continued to work and enjoy some time with the family members that liveslocally!

From there we all headed up to Iowa to help mom's siblings try to get as much cleaned out of our grandparents farmhouse as we could. We didn't get it all done, but we made a lot of progress and will save the rest for another day.

Right now Nebraska is suffering from record breaking flooding. Our house hasn't been affected by it, but this is a picture of our hometown and there are a lot of towns around us that are even worse than ours! We appreciate everyones prayers for the people of our state as well as surrounding states as they deal with a lot of loss.

"Lord, make me to know my end,
And what is the measure of my days,
That I many know how frail I am."

Update on Dad!

Some of you have asked how our Dad has been doing after his minor heart attack a month ago. We are so grateful to be able to say that he is doing great!! He said he loses energy and gets out of breath quicker than he used to, but other then that he is feeling really good!! He is back to doing most of his regular duties and yet keeps a close eye on his heart rate, blood pressure, etc. He is doing his best to get back to 100%! I don't know if it is because that is what he is supposed to do, or if it is because he wants to be able to go fly again! Either way, we are so thankful for all of your prayers during the whole experience and God's never ending faithfulness.

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way."

Baby Moments

One of the best parts of getting together as a family is to spend time with all of our growing nieces and nephews! When you live with someone you don't notice them changing and growing as much, maybe that is why nieces and nephews grow so much faster than we did when we were that age!

When we had Arianna, Caden, Everett, Gemma and Wyatt together in Florida we took a host of pictures! Here are just a few of them.

Experiencing the beach together.

Although these cuties are 3 months apart they were about the same size and so much fun to watch!!

Everett has started talking a ton since we saw them at Christmas!

Taking time to cuddle with the babies and play games with the older ones was so special!

We can't wait to do it all again!

"One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts."

Happy Birthday Susanna!

Full of adventure and life, Susanna is a fun mixture of spunk and sweetness. She plays banjo, works for Dad's business and enjoys a variety of interests that include everything from sports to sewing.

Most of the pictures I found for this post had either a niece & nephew or an animal in it. She tends to be pretty popular with both!

"You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

Orange Grove

The very first year we went to Orlando, Florida our first stop was at Kori's Grandparents home. They have an orange grove and I will never forget the feeling of walking out of the bus and seeing an orange tree for the first time. This year we made it back to pick some fresh oranges and it was such a treat! There is no way you can replicate the smell of orange blossoms or the taste of a fresh one right off the tree. It is absolutely amazing!

A huge highlight from our time in Florida was having Dan and Bethany and their kiddos fly down for a few days right before we left. Hooray for cheap airline tickets!!! It was an absolutely blast!

It has been mentioned so many times how Wyatt doesn't look anything like his parents, but we are thinking he is looking a bit more like some of his Wissmann uncles and aunts with his big blue eyes.

After walking around and eating some of the "juicy's" as Everett called the oranges we brought a few bags home to enjoy.

I think Caden was probably one of the best pickers!

"But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a able and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience."

I Serve A Savior

I know I don't post many pictures of us singing on here, but that is because it is hard to sing and take pictures at the same time! On this trip we did have a really full schedule before we got to Florida, and I don't want to give y'all the impression that our travels are just fun vacations with us enjoying sunshine and play days. Now there are special opportunities that we get to enjoy that we do not take for granted! But we do try to take our time on the road seriously and be very intentional with the doors that God has opened for us. We have a mission and a message to share!! That is why we put in the hours of work and energy, because we want His name to be glorified and this is the avenue that He has given us to do that. I try to share glimpses of our lives on the blog to hopefully encourage you and share what we've been up to, but I don't want you to think that is the only things of which our lives consist.

Now that I'm done rambling... Here are a few pictures from one of our concerts in Florida. :)

God sent his only son to save us.
He died upon a cross for all our sin.

I praise the precious name of Jesus!
He walked out of the grave they laid him in.

I serve a Savior
It's what I was made for.

His grace and love I don't deserve.

I will be faithful,
Humble and grateful.

My life is greater 'cause I serve a Savior.

"And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world."
1 John 4:14
