Christmas Trip

Life is quite the adventure. Since we don't have the typical year round, 8-5 job it tends to be that much more of an adventure! Not to mention the different work, music and ministry things that we are involved in. You never quite now when plans will change and you learn to be ready for just about anything!

Take last week as an example... At the beginning of the week we thought the weather was going to shut us down from working in the fields and planned on being home all weekend. Then we decided it was a perfect opportunity to take a Christmas business trip to Branson, MO for the weekend! The next day it was decided that the ground wasn't frozen solid and we would probably be working for the next two weeks. The day after that the guys came home from work saying the ground was frozen and work is done for the season! Hours later we were all loaded up and headed down to Branson to help some friends and enjoy the Christmas season in Branson. We spent the day at Silver Dollar City and had a ton of fun!! Family time is one of the best things about the Christmas season and Branson knows how to create a special atmosphere.

Just as the sun set we received the call that the ground had thawed enough to go to install another field the very next day. So we enjoyed the lights a little bit longer and sent one vehicle home yet that night. We are still working in the fields and look back at our mini Christmas vacation and just smile.

Glad you were able to enjoy a trip, even if it was cut short.
