Rachel's Baby Shower

Last weekend we traveled to Kansas for a special event: Rachel's baby shower. With only 3 weeks to go until her due date, we were thrilled to share with her church family in the joy of this new baby.

The ladies at her church went above and beyond to create a beautiful afternoon of celebration. We were amazed by the stunning decor and treats created for the event -- and for so many women & girls who came to rejoice with Rachel.

The treats were delicious...and so lovely!

Table decor

The mantle was a masterpiece -- complete with baby shoes, wooden trains, and snowflakes.

The lovely hot cocoa bar -- featuring homemade marshmallows!

Treats for the coffee/hot chocolate

We decided we need to learn to make marshmallows.
MMmmmmm! Store-bought treats can't even compare!

Almost too pretty to eat!

The tables all had these adorable bow-ties & dipped oreos.

Visiting with family & guests.

The guestbook

So many delicious choices!

For the devotional, Mom and a couple of Alan's sisters shared their mothering advice and encouragement.

A whole group of little girls gathered around to see the gift opening.

Baby items are the cutest!

What a wonderful event. We're so excited for Alan & Rachel and look forward to meeting their little boy!

Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
