A Musical Reunion

Under the blue tent.

15 reunions of music. Memories. Laughter. Stories.

The first year we shared at the Old Thresher's Reunion (2001), Nathanael was yet to be born. Alaythia played in her play-port near the stage as we sang. Matthias, Stephen, Hannah & Susanna were brought on stage as the little kids who relied more on the 'cute factor' than actual musical skill.

That first year we hauled along several tents and really 'roughed it'. Our largest challenge seemed to revolve around the attempts to keep our performance clothes clean and wrinkle-free.

Wow. How the years have flown!

This year we were elated to have the entire family together. All 23 of us.

What a delightful weekend!! Bethany and Kori captured so many wonderful moments from those few days together. My Blogger account is literally loaded with photos to share. So stay tuned for a flurry of posts in the coming week!

We'll kick it off with a conglomeration of moments on stage. During the weekend we were able to share 8 concerts -- involving many of our older children as we pulled out favorite songs from years past in addition to our current repertoire. What a privilege to share together the joy and hope found in Jesus!

The whole clan.

"Give to the LORD the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come before Him.
Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!"

What happened to the bigger standup bass? I see what looks like a samller Eminence EUB(electric upright bass) in the picture with Loren.

We still have and use the big upright. We got this smaller electric upright to use in less friendly environment conditions. (Hot,windy and dirty conditions.). :-)
