Maintaining a blog is often a complicated balance of time and creativity:
If life is routine, we have a bit more time to blog -- but few note-worthy pictures or posts. (Washing dishes, laundry, long irrigation-field days, and the mundane tasks of life hardly seem like post material.)
If life is packed with new places, people, and opportunities....well, we may have oodles of pictures on our camera, but we hardly have time to download or post them.
Such is the case today. There are dozens of great pictures just sitting here on our Nikon and its been our goal for the past few days to get them downloaded and posted on the blog.
However, life happens.
And, in the endless process of prioritizing and attempting to live by those priorities, our personal walk -- and people -- are top priority. We've had a jam-packed few days of visiting with friends and sharing concerts each evening here in Wisconsin. But hopefully within the next day or so you'll be seeing new posts and updates here.
In the meantime...could we ask you to join us in praying for a specific request?
Tonight we have the incredible privilege of going behind bars and sharing in a Wisconsin prison facility.
- Pray the Lord will draw the men to the service. Last time we sang here, there were almost double the amount of men signed up for the concert than were allowed in the rec. room at one time. Thankfully, we were able to share two concerts so they wouldn't have to turn dozens of men away. We're praying the Lord again draws their hearts.
- Pray for extra grace. Due to the 18+ age limitations, we'll only be able to bring 6 of us into the facility (Dad, Mom, Elizabeth, Matthias, Stephen, and Hannah). Because much of our music includes the younger ones (specifically Susanna and Alaythia), we'll be scrambling to know how to best improvise without them.
- Pray for an outpouring of the God's Holy Spirit. As Dad opens the Word, we pray it will fall on hungry soil. Encouraging, convicting, and uplifting. We pray we are willing, open vessels for the Lord to flow through.
Thank you, thank you, for your prayers on our behalf -- and on the behalf of these men. We look forward to keeping you updated in the coming days as we continue to tour in Wisconsin. Stay tuned!
One I have desired of the L,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the L
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the L,
And to inquire in His temple.
