Preparing for Winter

With the first hint of snow hitting this week, its obvious that winter is just around the corner. Time for some apple cider, fresh donuts (our family tradition), and restocking the woodpile!

The guys headed out with two pickups and in a matter of a few hours, our firewood stock was complete. Teamwork and some heavy lifting made for an invigorating afternoon!

What are your favorite traditions during this season?

“The LORD will open to you His good treasure,
the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season,
and to bless all the work of your hand.
Duet 28:12

Hello to all of the Wissmann Family,
For Thanksgiving my family and I decorate the Christmas Tree while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parada and have lots of yummy food! We have different tree themes( Angle Tree, Cardnal Tree, Children's Tree, Jesus Tree, and Snow Man Tree). My dad has a Star Track Tree. This year we r putting up the Children's Tree! Now about every evening before bed time we sit around the tree and sing Christmas Carols! During December we watch all of r Christmas movies and we go see A Christmas Carol at Ford's Theater! This year we are seeing it at a local theater to! For Christmas we r going to Ohio! Christmas Eve we r gonna watch a White Christmas! Christmas Day we r gonna open presents and sing Happy birthday Jesus! My church is having a Christmas Play on Decembet 15th! They youth get to help serve, the little kids r gonna sing a few songs and then r worship team r going to perform! Idk if I'm serving cuz I help out w Awana's so I might b there as a Awana's leader. We r doing it again on December 16th for the Homeless people. I love Thanksgiving and Christams!

Making pies for our church's bake sale, going to Grandparent's house for Grandpa's birthday, and for me... just trying to take a moment now and then to stop and enjoy my favorite season!
