Field Days

There's nothing like being out in the crisp, fall air. And lately, we've been getting an extra dose! Our mornings start before the crack of dawn with an active kitchen, getting all the lunches prepared and packaged. Then we bundle up and head out to the fields.

This was a busy day as we had over 1,000 connections to complete, so I only captured a few phone pictures. But at least it will give you a glimpse into our typical day during the irrigation season.

Smiles - as they lay the pipe in place.

One connection done, only 999 to go!

"He who has a slack hand becomes poor,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich."

Prov. 10:4

That looks like a tone of fun but also hard.

That is a TON of work! I can't imagine doing that much! We laid a water/electricity line from our house to the barn, and it was quite a job! :) Hope you guys get it all done soon and well!

Wow, what perseverance!
How did you not get discouraged seeing 999 ahead of you? Was this for your farm, or someone elses?

Hi Sarah!

Thanks for your comment!!

This was for someone else's farm. We simply install the irrigation systems, so every few days we move to different fields. And you'd be surprised how teamwork and lively conversation can make 999 connections fly!

Wow! It looks like you all have been busy!

I just found out this evening that you will be coming to the National Bible Bee again this year! You are doing a concert on Friday night? I'm looking forward to it!! My sisters and I enjoyed meeting you all back in 2011 at the NBB! (I was the one that asked you to sign your music book =D)
