The sun is shining, the days are becoming shorter. And excitement is in the air. It must be nearing the Old Thresher's Reunion! After a full weekend of concerts and fellowship, we pulled onto the familiar grounds last night, ready to help prepare for the reunion!
This has become a highlight for our family -- and a true reunion for us. Our grandparents camp with us over the weekend and we get to see many of Mom's extended family. Alan & Rachel and Dan, Bethany, & Arianna plan to be here over the weekend as well. We'll hope to have a host of 'reunion' pictures to share!
But for today, we're jumping in to help with preparations. Our Aunt Gayle is responsible for much of the kitchen duties at the Log Village, so we just spent the morning helping her wash dishes, sort, and prepare the kitchen for a weekend of outdoor, old-fashioned cooking:
Mugs for the school children
Drying and sorting
With time to capture a few smiles!
And, while the grounds are still quiet, we've set up our system and are enjoying the opportunity for some extra practice time. Weekend, here we come!
"And in that day you will say: "Praise the LORD, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted." Isa. 12:4
Hope to see you there!
