"...Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done."
We have had the opportunity to "live" in Branson for the Christmas season in 2008, 2009, and 2010 which we all greatly enjoyed. We saw the Lord's hand do "exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ask or think." It definitely feels like a second home for all of us! We missed being there during the Christmas season of 2011. So all of us were thrilled when Dad and Mom told us that, this year, their Christmas present to us was going to be a weekend trip to Branson!!!!!!
It was so amazing to see all the ways God blessed the trip and answered prayer!
One way in particular was the timing of the irrigation work. The week before we left we were still working in the fields, installing the irrigation systems, and looking forward to leaving on Thursday, the 6th of December. Then we found out that before we could leave we had to install a system in a 160 acre field with 3,000 connections! We started the job on Saturday, and worked hard Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We were so thankful that the weather was good, the job went smoothly, and we were able to finish it Wednesday night! YAY!!! We joyfully hopped in 2 vehicles Thursday morning and started the drive to Branson, MO. Andrew & Kori rode down with us, and Alan and Rachel left Kansas at just the right time, so that we all arrived in Branson within 5 minutes of each other!

Friday, we headed off to enjoy the day at Silver Dollar City. Which is a favorite place for all of us! Josiah, Abi and their kids arrived around noon and Dan, Bethany and Arianna flew in from Wisconsin early afternoon.

The weather was gorgeous, the rides were awesome, and the time with family was priceless.

It was so fun to see the younger ones enjoy it as well. Charissa and Joanna LOVED the rides!
We were able to stay at a friend's condo which was so nice. There was enough room for all of us to spread out and enjoy the time together.
We all enjoyed watching Charissa and the grandkids play.

Then Saturday evening we went to see The Sight and Sound Theater's drama 'Joseph'. I would highly recommend it. From the music, to the actors, the choreography, the atmosphere, everything was SO well done! We're so grateful for their ministry! The message was incredibly powerful as well and much needed in today's culture. They brought out the power of forgiveness. Joseph chose not to live for himself and what he wanted, but for God's glory. To forgive those who had hurt him. And because of that God was able to greatly use him! Even though it sometimes seems impossible to forgive someone, it is something that God calls us to do as His children. God has forgiven us SO much, how can we ignore that and not forgive someone else?!

Thank you, Dad and Mom for everything.
We love you!

That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD."
