Memorial Day

 I wish you could have seen the smiles that were at our house when we found out that we were going to be at Grandpa and Grandma Hager's house for Memorial Day! We usually get to help put up flags, eat the best cookies in the world, play many different outdoor games, drive Grandpa's tractors, read books with Grandma, hear many of the stories of our family history... and this year was no different!

:: We get up early in the morning to put up flags ::

:: We girls get the job of hooking the flags onto the polls ::

:: Me ::

:: Mommy ::

:: The guys had the harder job of taking these huge posts and putting them in the holes. The goal was to try and get them in place before blowing away ::

:: Uncle Duane, the faithful driver ::

:: Susanna ::

:: Nathanael and Charissa ::

:: Go Huskers ::

:: Elizabeth ::

:: Mommy and Charissa ::

:: So many memories ::

:: Charissa was so excited to be able to help put up the smaller flag ::

:: Grandpa riding to the other cemetery on the much wanted seat ::

:: It was so pretty looking at all the flags up ::

:: Grandpa ::

:: Our wonderful Grandparents ::

:: Our wonderful Parents ::

:: Susanna and I ::

Thank you Grandpa and many others who have fought and are still fighting for our freedom!

"I will make you a great nation; I will bless you
And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing!"
Genesis 12:2

I really look forward to seeing this post every year! So colorful and patriotic.

It is a wonderful thing your family does for the memory of our veterans, and for the proclamation of the liberty for which they served and sacrificed.

My sincere gratitude to your Grandfather for his combat service.

Thank you for posting this, Miss Hannah!

God's blessings to you and all your family!

We must have just missed you up at the cemetery. The flags always look so regal and important. My husband said you girls sang in Ossian for the program at the KC Hall too. I had company, or I would have gone up too. He always marches with the legion to all of the surrounding cemeteries. Sorry I missed you. Deb H

Let’s go back to the founding of America remembering who made this country free.
Liberty and Freedom are the rights to do that which is right in the sight of God.
Thank you so much for posting God glorifying news that happens in y’all’s everyday lives. :-) It seems like a really amazing experience to be able to help in the remembering of our country’s heroes. And it looks like y’all had fun as well.
I pray that God blesses your efforts in the future as he has in the past.
Joshua
P.S. I like the patriotic costumes.
