On Your Doorposts

If your home is anything like ours, you'll know that creative indoor activities are coming at a premium for little children these days. And our Mom has a wealth of activities and ideas when it comes to keeping little hands and minds fruitfully employed. Take for instance one of her recent ventures -- Scripture art

As the younger children have been working on memorizing Psalms 1, she devised a creative way to post these words on our refrigerator with a colorful mural:

The completed mural. Aren't they cute!?

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children...
You shall write them on the doorposts
of your house and on your gates."

Deut. 6:6, 7 & 9

What a creative idea & a great way to keep thinking about God's Word throughout the day! It is such a blessing to hide God's Word in our hearts!

Joyfully in Jesus,

How creative and fun! (And not mention educational! ;) What a blessing it is to have Scripture posted throughout our home (painted onto the walls, verse cards in frame, etc...) Thanks for sharing!
With great rejoicing in Christ,
Annie

I like reading about your homeschooling ideas that you use...can you share more about how you homeschool? Do you do it year-round? What curriculum do you use? How many siblings are being homeschooled this year and what grades are they in?

Great creativity! I'm amazed how your fridge is like a blank canvas. No magnets, photos, or abc letters. It is somehow refreshing and shouts out "CREATE!" and makes me want to do little cut-outs too!! Always an inspiration! God bless you all today...

Love this idea.
I know how it is keeping young children occupied. I teach music and know how it is keeping children's interest. I often times will help them with writing a quick little song from the Psalms. That's always fun and inspiring for them.

I am a new follower of your blog.

God's peace,
Bethany
