For it is good to sing praises to our God;
For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful!

He counts the number of the stars;
He calls them all by name.

Great is our Lord, and mighty in power;
His understanding is infinite.

Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
Sing praises on the harp to our God,

The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him,
In those who hope in His mercy.

Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem!
Praise your God, O Zion!

PRAISE the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!

He sends out His command to the earth;
His word runs very swiftly.

For He has strengthened the bars of your gates;
He has blessed your children within you.

Let them praise the name of the LORD,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above the earth and heaven.

Branson Prep

Days are full here in Branson and I'm looking forward to getting some pictures of our 'happenings' posted here to share with you -- hopefully soon!

Today we're working with our lighting tech and praying through the scripting of our nativity scene. Since this is a huge focal part of our whole program, we appreciate your prayers for wisdom, creativity, and the Holy Spirit's direction for that part of the show especially.

The rest of the family is walking out the door now, so I must scurry. But know that we're incredibly grateful for your prayers -- we see the effects of them daily and I can't wait to share some of the neat things the Lord has been doing with you!! We marvel at His faithfulness and continue to pray for the intense, unique ministry here that begins next Tuesday!

"My flesh and my heart fail,
but GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Ps. 73:26

A Week of Activity

We arrived home last Monday -- to a delightful surprise left by some of our dear friends! They had sabotaged our home with sweet messages, notes, and even two amazing cheesecakes. It was good to be home, if even for just a week. And really, we packed allot of action into those seven days! Here's a quick -- and partial -- report!

With the Branson opportunity just around the corner, we had a massive stack of sewing and shopping projects to complete -- around 40 new outfits' worth! So with our arrival home, we set up the sewing factory and went to work.

The Lord answered so many specific prayers -- including the provision of exactly the right fabrics, accents, and clothing we needed. We were even able to find some excellent items at the thrift store to help defray costs. God is good!

Our grandparents all came to visit for the weekend, and were such a blessing with a variety of projects!

And of course, we're ever-so-grateful for Anna's generous help as she spent literally hours every day at the machine, joyfully serving. Anna -- what would we do without you?! [smile]

Sorting through last year's costumes.

And making sure we have something for everyone!

We also worked on a filming project -- a new 10 minute 'Pre-Show' video.

Filling CD orders

And re-packing for Branson

And two bridal showers for Andrew & Kori
[more pictures to come!]

Thank you for your prayers! We're currently in Branson, preparing for the upcoming opportunity here during the Christmas season. We have lots and lots of music practice ahead, and especially covet your prayers as we coordinate this year's program! Stay tuned...

"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue." 2 Peter 1:2-3

Virginia Smiles

This post is already a couple weeks overdue, but as I looked at all the happy smiles in these pictures and remembered the delightful memories of our time in Virginia, I couldn't resist posting a few!

Two weeks ago we spent a whole weekend with Dan and Bethany in Virginia. The Lord gave perfectly gorgeous weather, which we took advantage of by spending the most of the day hiking in the West Virginia hillside!

"God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us...

That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.

Let the peoples praise You, O God;

Let all the peoples praise You!

Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy!

For You shall judge the people righteously, And govern the nations on earth.

Let the peoples praise You, O God;

Let all the peoples praise You.

Then the earth shall yield her increase;

God, our own God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him!"
Psalm 67

Christmas is coming! At least that's what its beginning to sound like around our house this week! One week from today we'll be packing and heading down to Branson, Missouri to share the message and joy of Jesus Christ for the coming two months.

We're also excited to announce that we're in a new location this year -- Music City Centre. With the theater's state-of-the-art lighting and sound, our prayer is to develop a high quality production that will joyfully proclaim the hope and promise found in Jesus Christ!

We'll be spending the next two weeks in Branson preparing for this opportunity. We covet your prayers and will do our best to keep in touch!

"Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day."

Computer trials

We're home!

The past weeks have been filled with many miles of travel, memorable moments, adventures, and post-worthy days. But alas! My computer is having serious problems and is currently in the repair shop. Thus, I'm rather behind the times with keeping this site up to date. My apologies! Hopefully, the repair will be done in a timely matter and I'll be back to the online world. Because I have many updates to share -- traveling pictures, shopping and sewing for our time in Branson, Andrew and Kori's bridal showers this week. And the sewing series. Yes, there's lots that I hope to show you soon!

But until then, thanks for your patience!

"Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power."
2 Thes 1:11

Rejoice with us! The order for our latest recording project is being placed today! We're excited about the content and message of this CD. Typically, the duplication process takes 3 weeks, so we're estimating a shipping date of October 25th. All the order information is updated on our website, so head on over to get your copy!

2010 marks the ten-year anniversary of our family's music ministry. What simply began as providing music for local events has grown into a nationwide adventure. Along the way we've seen one common cord woven through the the fabric of our lives -- God's never-ending faithfulness.

It is our prayer that the message of this project will also resound in your heart as you discover for yourself the reality of His steadfast love!
