It's our Birthday...

...our blog birthday, that is! [smile]

And traditionally, this has been the occasion for all you friends and 'lurkers' out there to leave us a note! We'd love to hear how you came upon our site -- and maybe a few ideas of what you'd like to see featured on the blog in 2009. So please drop us a comment!

Also, we'd like to say another heartfelt THANK YOU for all your prayers and encouragement over this past year. We are so grateful that you'd keep visiting our site and upholding us before the Throne!

"O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You,
I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth." Isaiah 25:1

So let the *birthday* festivities begin!....

We have been following your blog since we heard your family sing in Winkler, Canada. We have been blessed and encouraged by your example of how godly families can be a light to the world. It's also fun to keep up and be encouraged by other large families. Thank you for your ministry. Keep on keepin on:)

Thanks for the work you put into your blog, it is really an encouragement to us as we raise our family, all our children are really young, but we want to be faithful to raise them in God's ways, so we can see the fruit of our labor one day. Your family is such a wonderful testimony to God's love and light. Thanks and God bless!

I really enjoy your blog, and I comment semi-regularly I think. So, Happy Blog Birthday to you!

As far as ideas...I always love what you have to post Rachel. I love it when you share a song or hymn and have pictures in between the words. My favorite was when you did "God Be With You Till We Meet Again" because the pictures matched the words so beautifully. I think it was when Josiah was going away.

I would love to see more 'everyday' life of all of your siblings and what things you do together, things like that. But I do enjoy whatever you post.

In Christ's Love,
Ruth Ann

I'm encouraged by how the LORD is using your family for His glory. I pray for your ministry regularly and your blog is an excellent way of allowing others to pray for specific concerns and issues.

Heb 13:20-21
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Happy Blog Birthday. I only visit two blogs regularly and this one only since Nov.

Our family has been richly blessed by your family. Not a day goes by that there is not some reference to the Wissmanns or one of your songs sung in our household. =)

Thank you for sharing of yourselves so freely. You are an excellent example of transparency that is so refreshing.

We hope to see you next November. =)

Love in Jesus!

Your family's music is a great blessing to us.

Hi Wissmanns!! I have no idea when I first started reading this (maybe after Mindy designed your website?). Anyway, here are some things that I am looking forward to seeing on your blog this next year:
*Pictures of a new Wissmann baby (could a grandbaby, I'm not picky here)
*17 birthday posts (I included the new baby)
*Reports on everyday life (that's always fun!)
*And lots and LOTS of wonderful pictures!

Love you all! Have a Happy New Year!

I've been reading your blog for quite a while. I heard about you long ago, I don't remember when, and then really got to know you once my brother got in contact with you some time getting close to a couple years ago! I love reading it, may the Lord bless you in your ministry, for truly it is a blessing.

I come here for two reasons: you're a large family who dresses modestly.
This summer God convicted me that I needed to dress modestly. Since I don't know anyone else who dresses this way, I went to the internet for encouragement. The many photos you've posted over the years have been very helpful.
And I have two children myself but would love for more.. your children are all so beautiful! I really enjoy seeing them grow.
I found your blog through Katherine (the second commenter). So if she reads this, she knows why I'm lurking in her blog too *laughs*

I found your blog originally by blog hopping and now I keep track via RSS feed. I love to see lots of updates with Bethany's beautiful pictures!

I found your blog through Bethany's which I found through someone else's which I probably found through the Rebelution (that's where I started liking blogs). I love all the pictures and I love big families...yours especially. All of you are best friends, love eachother and are happy. Not many families (even small ones) can boast as such. I'm in a family of 8 and we live in SoCal...BIL and nieces and nephews added to that now. :-)

Anyway...
Happy Blog Birthday! Keep it up! Again, I LOVE the pictures. *hint-hint*

Shalom! :-)

I began reading your blog when your son went the the Ukraine this past summer. My son, Roy Gregson, went too. We have 11 children and Roy (20 yrs.) is the oldest. I thought it was neat that Roy got to get to know another guy from a very large family and I enjoyed your updates as well.

Hi! I met Becky Bontrager at the Farm Progress Show in 2008 right after their last concert ~ UGH! She gave me the invitation to the Turning Hearts Celebration and I found out about you through that information. We had hoped to attend this year (2009) but our 7th baby is due shortly before (probably days!)

I have wanted to be a musical family ever since I heard the John Marshall Family at my church as a little girl. We now have purchased some instruments but are just beginning learning them. We sing for our local nursing home every other month. My desire is to use music to minister to others less fortunate than us.

I enjoy the godly example we see on your blog and would enjoy seeing some of the ways your children interact with each other.

My children love to get on blogs and I feel safe letting them read yours. ~ Thanks

Since I keep getting gummed up on what to write (the equivalent of wadding up pieces of paper and filing them in the circular file cabinet on the floor)...

I'll just say congratulations, thank you, I keep praying for your ministry and your family, hope you get to Alaska someday and/or I see you someday in the "Lower 48", and I'd like to see posts from your Mom and/or Dad.

[smile] See! I didn't use a smiley face! :-)
