Strawberries

Guess what we've been busy with this week on the home front!??! Involving lots of teamwork, sticky fingers, and happy tummies....it's strawberry season! After almost three hours in a local field we had around 70 pounds of the delicious fruit in tow. Mmmmmmmm! You can probably imagine the activity in our dining room all afternoon:

That brings back lots of fun memories! We haven't done our big stawberry deal yet this year, but I am looking forward to it! Our uncle owns a strawberry farm and we usually go up there once a year and buy up a bunch and then proccess them at Gramma and Grampa's. It is such a fun family time...and it is so delicious! You look like you are having fun!

Now I really can't wait! [smile]

Ahh....good for you Wissmann family!!! I know what you are talking about when you say "70 pounds", because My brothers & I have spent the last 2 and a half weeks helping our friends out at thier farm during their strawberry harvesting season!

Mmmm...you've got to love those farm fresh strawberry's!!!

I'm glad that you had the opportunity to work together as a family to make some delicious memories!

Blessings!

I'm wondering who did this blog post? Maybe it was Rachel from China?:)
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

yummy!! Looks like lots of fun - tho' here in Florida our strawberry season has been like long past.

I was wondering too, who did the post - *grin*. I didn't know if we'd have to suffice it with nothing with Rachel & Bethany both gone. Hmmm, I'm deciding, it must be Ruth. :) Am I right? *grin*

Oh, that looks like fun and a wonderful thing to do together as a family!

What a blessing to have so many strawberries put up and ready to be enjoyed at a later time. :)

We recently picked strawberries a couple weeks ago. Wow... aren't they good hand picked from a berry farm then from the store?!!

MMMMMMM MMMMMM GOOD!

A large family = lots of berries, but it also = lots of pickers, helpers and fun when it comes down to it. We live in Canada and are patiently awaiting our strawberry season. Soon!
