Snow!

We drove to Bemidji, Minnesota yesterday afternoon -- and only hours after we arrived and unloaded we noticed signs of winter falling from the sky.

Yes, SNOW! And lots of it! By this afternoon we measured over 15 inches, with flurries still thick in the air. For us, this is undoubtably the 'blizzard of the year'. Which is laughable when you consider it was 78 degrees when we left home and our wardrobes consist mostly of short-sleeves!

But, in spite of the weather, several families braved the blizzard conditions and we had a special first evening of the family seminar last night. The cold blowing of the wind and snow was a stark contrast to the warm buzz of conversation and fellowship clustered in the sanctuary. What a joy to be with God's people in the 'north country'! [smile]

Braving the cold wind

And yes, the van we're using did get stuck.
Again. And yet again!
Hurray for strong, young guys

"O Lord GOD, You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness
and Your mighty hand,
for what god is there in heaven or on earth
who can do anything like Your works and Your mighty deeds?"
Deut. 3:24

We've had some late surprise snows as well. It's beautiful even if it's not typical late April weather. Greetings from Lighthouse Gospel.

Let's see...

You've been stuck in the sand, now in the snow.

I wonder what next? ;-)

Your trip to China with Bethany and your two friends sounds like quite an exciting adventure and a good experience where lots of memories will be made.

Looks like fun! (Well, aside from the snow part...)

Glad the seminar's going well. See you all on May 1st (Lord willing!)! :)

You guys are the best!!! We love you so much...even though you did bring snow with you. I guess we are willing to endure another winter if it means we get to listen to your beautiful voices and instruments! Last night was a huge blessing!

SNOW?? We are sure glad it was there, and not here! Looks like from the smiles on your faces you made the most of it while it lasted, even with short-sleeves!:) Praying for you all, and the rest of your trip!

With love,
