Intimacy

This morning I was challenged by the following quote from my all-time favorite devotional, 'My Utmost for His Highest'.....

"I have called you friends."

Friendship is rare on earth. It means identity in thought and heart and spirit. The whole discipline of life is to enable us to enter into this closest relationship with Jesus Christ. We receive His blessings and know His Word,
but do we know Him?

I love reading that devotional too - thank you for sharing!! It is always such a blessing to hear something "again" that you heard earlier, to me it's a way of confirmation that I needed to hear that. Thank you SO MUCH!!

Certainly, this is food for thought. Thank you for reminding me of it. It is so easy to drift away with so-called everyday cares and forget that you are supposed to be the Lord's best friend, as it were.

Oswald Chambers' (or Ozzie as our family has nicknamed him :]) 'My Utmost For His Highest' is also my favorite devotional. That's a very good quote, too -- thanks for sharing!

(And I hope you post tonight!)
