Faith of our Fathers

On May 17th, 1829, John Jay (first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court) was drawing near death after a life of serving his country. As recorded by his son, Judge William Jay, John Jay was asked if he had any final words for his children.
He responded,

"They have the Book"

"His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue."
2 Peter 1:3

A very blessed Fourth of July to you all!

We find the words of men so important, we quote them, and cling on there last words (nothing wrong with that). But the Words of Jesus is all we need, and are so important! Do we hang on to His every word, and remember His last words? Thanks for the reminder Bethany!
Happy 4th of July!
