Prayer Request

Hello from southern Georgia! Just wanted to post a quick update and ask for prayer. Over the weekend our family has been majorly struck with a very nasty 2+ day flu. While we were able to continue through each scheduled service, we're now starting to look more like a hospital ward than a ministry team!

Right now the 'sick-list' includes Dad, Mom, Rachel, and Charissa, with Ruth, Bethany, Andrew, Elizabeth, Matthias, and Alaythia in recovery. We're all trying to learn Stephen's secret as he's the only one who has mananged to stay healthy this whole trip!!

We are so thankful the Lord has provided a beautiful apartment nessled in the woods for us to spread out, rest, and heal over the next couple days. Thank you in advance for your prayers. Lord-willing, we'll be back on the road soon!!!

I was so happy when I saw that there was an update, but not so happy about what the update was about! :( I'll be praying that you guys (and gals :) get completely recovered. Keep us updated if you discover Stephen's preventative medicine! :D

I too was happy to find an update but very unhappy with the news it brought. :( I'll be praying for you all. That flu bug seems to be nationwide and by God's grace, we have so far evaded it. I've heard enough about it to know it is not a very easily recovered from virus. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

By the way, Charissa looks really worried about something in the picture. Even she must be scared of the recovery ahead of her with that flu bug! Poor child.

Sorry to hear about the flu bug hitting your family. No fun...or would it be? You could have a contest to see who wins the prize for the most miserable and most grumpy, most happy while feeling miserable, and so on. Just a thought.

I have a paperback book from 1242 A.D. that says peanut butter, garlic, and apple butter will cure you in 3 months.

Seriously, my prayers are with you all of you and glad one of you escaped it.

P.S. It's 15.7 degrees F as I type this so it's a slight bit more chilly than at the beach you visited.

Sorry to hear from your post that you all have the flu bug going around that is no fun. Hope everyone recovers and gets better because being sick is no fun especially when you are away from home. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. You will have to let us know what stephen's secret is if you find out for staying so well the whole time while you have been gone.

We shall keep you in our prayers. I know it is hard when numerous family members are sick.
We praise the Lord with you in what He is doing around you and through your ministry. Our Church here in Ontario are still talking about the program you brought to our church, and were truly blessed. Keep on keeping on!

The Lord has promised to continue and finish the Work that He has started.
God bless you all!

You are often in our thoughts and prayers, but we had not checked your website for a few weeks. As we viewed the photos of the wreck, Psalm 34 came to mind, specifically verses 7 & 8...
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Those I know from memory, but as I reread the rest of Psalm 34, verse 11 really stood out, too.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
What an awesome testimony you have been given to share, of God's power to deliver! We are so very thankful that all were able to walk away from the wreck. What a blessing, too, that you were in the South, and did not have to stand outside in the sub-zero temps that we've had up here, in MN.
As for the flu...been there, done that...not fun. Be encouraged. This, too, shall pass. We'll keep you in our prayers, that you may all have a full and speedy recovery.
We are all looking forward to seeing your family at the Lake Itasca Family Bluegrass Festival, in August! Safe travels and God's richest blessings to your family.
