Actually, what made our family laugh was the population part of the sign -- not really the name. Have you ever seen a town with a population of 3?! If our family would move in, we'd double the size several times over! [smile]

well I thought Noname Colo was a strange name but that one is truely gross but there was a town in the mountains above Denver thats population was 1 for about 25 yrs
when the mayer/postmaster/cop and store owner died hundreds of tourests that he had met over the years came to see him put to rest

Last I knew Monowi only had 1 person, making it the smallest village in the state. I think Gross is second.

I guess most of the kids in Gross left. In 1980 there were 2 people; in 1990, 7 people; in 2006, 3 people. One family??

Imagine the population percentage growth if you moved in to Monowi! 1500% growth might be a national record. ;-)
